Education, Research and Support from business and the community – partnerships at work! Why do we need your support?
It is with the generous support from contributors like you, making both small and large donations, that we are able to continue the Care Bag program for our communities. Most cancer organizations use their funds for research, but the National Breast Cancer Education Foundation dedicates its funds to THE WOMEN WHO CAN’T WAIT FOR THE CURE!
The poor are not the only ones without insurance. Working women who have jobs but cannot make ends meet are finding themselves with a limited ability to take care of their own health care needs because they do not have insurance. A few years ago The New England Journal of Medicine came out stating "women who have no insurance have a 49% greater risk of dying from breast cancer than women who have insurance."
The National Breast Cancer Education Foundation continues to seek funding to supply education and support services for these women. One of our goals is bring our program to more people throughout the country and make our Care Bag program accessible to more needy women, providing them with the information they need from the diagnosis of breast cancer to completion of treatments.
We have a strong alliance with several trusted breast cancer organizations, hospitals, corporations, and women's organizations throughout the United States. Successful programs have proven our track record for helping women.
